FactBites, according to its home page, is an encyclopedia crossed with a search engine. FactBites pulls facts from web pages or online encyclopedias and presents them in your search results. You may of course ask, which of these results are fact and which are fiction? After I tried a number of searches, I found that FactBites actually does a pretty good job drawing results from dictionaries, encyclopedias, universities, and many .org sites.
When you use this search tool keep in mind that it produces a maximum of 30 results. Overall, I found FactBites to work best with simple questions that need quick answers. For more extensive research on more complex topics, you may want to use one of our library’s Ebsco databases.
